school stats & location

Founded in 1958, Shore Acres has consistently been a highly-rated neighborhood school
for many years. Located just one block from Tampa Bay and on a small lake, Shore Acres students enjoy a campus that is beautiful, quiet, and safe. ​Our school has approximately 700 students and routinely fills up before the start of the school year. Parents are encouraged to turn in registration material early to reserve a spot at Shore Acres.

academia & CURRICULUM

​Academically, Shore Acres students are challenged by a curriculum that can be differentiated based on a student's needs. Students have access to computers in all classes, a science lab, and a media center with a Maker Space. We have a large gifted program on our campus for eligible students and ESE and Reading Specialists for students who need additional assistance. Many teachers use cutting-edge technology and flexible seating to help keep students engaged and learning bell-to-bell.

IN-SCHOOL ACTIVITIES

Shore Acres has a brand new recess playground as well as multiple fields, PE outdoor gym and playground. Shore Acres students have PE three times a week and recess across all grade levels. Students also have art and music once a week. ​

​We have many extracurricular activities at Shore Acres including: Glee Club, Strings, Green Team, Run Club, Spanish, Multicultural Club, STEM Club, Mad Science, Eagle News, Honor Society, Basketball, Soccer, Safety Patrol, and Challenge Island.

hours & visitors

​School hours are 7:35pm - 1:35pm with the Pre-K and Kindergarten letting out at 1:20pm daily. *We are a closed campus and all visitors must check-in via the front office.

carline process

We have staggered carline dismissal times. Please see below for times and a carline video from our Principal:
Pre-K: 1:30pm
Kindergarten: 1:35pm
Grades 1, 2, & 4: 1:40pm
Grades 3 & 5 - 1:45pm
We ask that you don't get into the moving car line until that time. Siblings should be picked up using the oldest time.​

Sore Acres students do not wear uniforms and all students should follow Pinellas County Schools dress code.
